MagDee Technologies (OPC) Private Limited (“MagDee”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the VOChef mobile application (“App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

By using VOChef, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

a. Information from Google Sign-In

When you sign in using your Google account, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your profile picture

We do not access your Google account password, contacts, emails, or any other Google account data.

b. Information You Provide

  • Chat messages and queries you send to our AI assistant
  • Photos you upload for ingredient recognition
  • Recipe preferences and favourites you save
  • Shopping list items you create
  • Language preferences

c. Automatically Collected Information

  • Device type and operating system version
  • App usage data and crash reports
  • General location (country/region, not precise location)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Authenticate your identity and provide access to the App
  • Provide AI-powered recipe suggestions and meal planning
  • Save your favourite recipes, shopping lists, and preferences
  • Improve the App’s features and user experience
  • Send important service-related notifications
  • Diagnose technical issues and fix bugs

We do not use your information for advertising purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

  • Your data is stored securely using Supabase cloud infrastructure
  • We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest
  • Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel only
  • We do not store your Google account credentials

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

We may share your data only in the following cases:

  • With service providers who help us operate the App (cloud hosting, analytics), under strict confidentiality agreements
  • When required by law, regulation, or legal process
  • To protect the rights, safety, or property of MagDee, our users, or the public

5. Third-Party Services

Our App uses the following third-party services:

  • Google Sign-In for authentication
  • Firebase for analytics and crash reporting
  • Supabase for data storage and authentication

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing the use of your information.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Withdraw consent for data processing at any time
